Catching White Steenbras in Arniston

So it is a known fact that when you target White Steenbras that you need to use a light rig, the opposite as to when you are targeting Mussel Cracker.

I changed my rig to target Mussel Cracker. Used a 23kg hook line with an 8/0 hook and a whole red crab as bait.

Guess what!? This White Steenbras picked up the crab and the bite was exactly the same as that of a Mussel Cracker. Only when the fish was close to shore did I realise that it was a White Steenbras.

I never thought I would catch a White Steenbras on red crab! This White Steenbras must have been very hungry!
